KAY K172-S
KAY K172-S Shaded Mahogany with Golden Sunburst finish From the 1958 C. Bruno counter catalog; "Choose the new "Pro" size Kay for artistry in rhythm! It's "Speed Demon" neck is slim and thin for fast action. It's beautiful curly maple body mounts two powerful "Hi-Fi" pickups with individual string adjustments. A swift, silent 3-way switch and individual tone and volume controls assure rhythm background or brilliant lead tone on demand! New Pro size body is 12 1/2" x 18 1/2" 39 1/2" overall. Fully arched top and back. Lustrous hand-rubbed polished finish Oval rosewood fingerboard, pearl inlays, bound edges. " This guitar plays great with new wider frets. There was some minor repair to the "wings" of the headstock and there is some paint chipping on the rear near the output jack. The neck joint is tight and the action is very good. The tuners are original (and a bit rusty) they work fine and have new plastic buttons installed. Actually, despite what the catalog states, the neck is rather hefty. This will ship in it original Hard Shell case..in great condition! | Album by Daniel Wollock.
