Ibanez EDB600 4-String Bass
1998 Ibanez EDB600 Grey Pewter Matte 4-String Active EQ... Made in Korea This comes with a gig bag Great working and playing condition. Neck is straight. Action is low. Frets show almost no wear. Very clean finish except for one small scuff on the top end of the headstock and tiny scratches on bottom edge, below the output jack Luthite is an ultra resonant man-made material specifically created for electric string instruments. It can be formed into comfortable ergonomic shapes much more economically than traditional tone woods, but still delivers great sound quality. The four-string EDB600GP (the GP stands for Grey Pewter, the only color this model comes in) has an ergonomically shaped body with a radically curved back for comfort and a scooped front that's perfect for slapping. The pewter finish is enhanced by black hardware that includes an Accu-Cast B20 bridge for fast string changes. The sleek, slender EDB4 neck like all Ibanez Soundgear necks, the Ergodyne's three-piece maple neck is thin and super fast. The specially designed "All Access" bolt-on neck joint allows for easy access to the upper frets, something that's typically associated with high end set necks or "neck-thru" joints. The rosewood fingerboard offers a strong, tight sound and an attractive appearance with a long grain. Tight and punchy sound thanks to special active EQ The world's finest bass guitars include special active EQ circuitry, but you don't often expect a feature like that on a bass that's as affordable as this one. The EDB4 starts with a pair of passive IBZ DXH2 pickups in the bridge and neck positions. But things really get interesting when you start tweaking the on-board EQB-III onboard three-band equalization. From fat, smoky lows to crisp, detailed highs, the EDB600 delivers a precise sound that's light years beyond what you'd normally expect from a bass at this price.
