Gibson Ultratone Lap Steel
Early 1950’s Gibson Ultratone Lap Steel Electric Guitar w/ Original Hard Shell Case
This is a beautiful "all original" Gibson Ultratone; one of the coolest lap steels ever! It’s in great condition.
There’s all the normal finish wear on the body and neck with dings and scratches throughout as well as one larger chip at the top of the neck on the back (pictured).
The plastic Pickup cover has a repaired crack but is structurally sound.
Two of the four screws securing the plastic fingerboard may have been replaced. The original Kluson tuning machines are working very well. The original buttons have shrunken a bit but are still all there.
The original P-90 pickup has been tested and outputs at 7.32 ohms. All pots and wiring are original.
This classic Gibson lap steel sounds great. The original blue finish has yellowed over the last 50 plus years, but it still looks good.
This Ultratone has its original hard shell case, however the latches need replacing and there's some tearing along the sides.
