Gibson U-2 w/OHC
Made in USA 1991
Probably not the best known Gibson, only made this model for a few years, but a superb guitar with an amazingly diverse range. "From Fender Strat to Les Paul, it has it all". Glued in Neck with Ebony finger board. 24 frets. This one has a few light scratches, light dings , one paint chip (shown) and a couple more on the back of the headstock Black sealed-gear Gibson tuners. Bridge/Trem: Licensed Floyd Rose (Stamped Gibson). Pickups: S/S/H Configuration. Center tap/Humbucker. Switches: 4 switches 1 each pickup and one override.
Vol/Tone controls: In and out volume pot, single/double switch for bridge pickup.
Super Fast straight neck,. No wear to the frets or fingerboard !! Red …. Minor wear to the back/edges from playing Black Hardware: Floyd Rose Tremolo…It all works perfectly Very good condition. The U-2 was made from 1987 to 1992 …great condition for age. Showing only very minor signs of wear. Comes with genuine GIBSON,Hard, Padded Case. With Pink lining !!!
This guitar is very versatile, it plays like a dream and has a fast neck. Gibson U-2s are not that easy to come by and those that have them are apparently not getting rid of them easily. Someday this model guitar will have a place in Gibson's annals as a very rare and almost-unknown design
It has the s/s/h pickup configuration,…
the multi switch arrangement offers more flexibility than a “Strat” type five way
Excellent out of phase" “Strat” sounds. With bridge PU on double coil, guitar is noise free …The Bridge PU kicks @ss. ..seriously thick lead tone, yet with subtle dynamic response. Fabulous definition on clean sounds. All 3 pickups have toggle switches, and pulling out on the volume knob taps the coils in the humbucker.
The guitar has a solid basswood body , no binding and an ebony fingerboard with dot markers ….it`s super light ,and sturdy | Date(s): April 19, 2004. Album by Daniel Wollock. Photos by Daniel Wollock. 1 - 2 of 2 Total. 198 Visits. |
