The Strat Plus has several improvements over the Standard USA Stratocaster.
Three Lace Sensor Gold pickups provide sweet authentic Fender tone with no single-coil noise. Also included are Fenders TBX tone control, LSR roller nut, locking, staggered tuners (no string trees!), and a Hipshot Tremsetter...all factory-installed. The LRS ball-bearing nut is considered to be much better than the original Wilkinson roller nut available on earlier Strat Plus models. The tremolo is the more efficient 2-point type and the screw-in tremolo arm is bigger than the vintage tremolo arm. If you have ever broken a standard Stratocaster arm in the tremolo block, you’ll especially appreciate this improvement.
The body is finished in the beautiful Black Pearl Dust finish. It appears black/grey in the middle of the body and "bursts" to a silver metallic color near the edges. There is one notable small scuff on the edge near the controls. The pickguard shows some very light pick marks.
The neck is in excellent- condition with some light dings mostly behind the 11th fret area. The fret board is clean dark rosewood and the frets show almost no wear.
The original Strat Plus case with Fender "PLUS" logo is also included.
These Strat Plus guitars are far superior to the American Standards and American Series guitars. They rival (and in many ways even surpass) the current Deluxe Stratocasters. They simply sound better, play better, and will be worth more down the road due to their features, quality of construction and limited production.
