Fender 60th Anniversary American Strat
2006 Fender 60th Anniversary American Standard Stratocaster.
This is a 2006 Fender 60th Anniversary white/blonde American Standard Stratocaster. This is from a FENDER SPECIAL RUN (FSR)of 150 guitars built exclusively for Sam Ash. The body has a stamped date of March 15, 2006. This Diamond Anniversary (note the "diamond" inlaid into the headstock) Stratocaster is in excellent condition. There’s just one tiny ding on the back of the neck at the 6th fret (shown 7o’clock to the penny). There are some very minor scratches on the tip of the headstock and a couple on the back of the body. There is also a very feint pinkish stain, possibly from a pick stored in the edge of the pick guard. I believe you can see it in the close up of the top. We have set up this guitar with Fender pure nickel .010 strings…and it plays great.
This guitar has been played very little and the frets are very clean. The tremolo arm has never been inserted in the tremolo block but is included. There is a silver paper patch over the tremolo block arm-hole to keep the tension spring from falling out.
It comes with the original silver hard shell 60th Anniversary G&G case with the “60th Anniversary” embroidered patch on the crushed-velvet inner lid. The case does have a few dings on the outer surface.
All of the goodies in the case compartment are intact.
These guitars were part of the American Standard Series. They have an Alder body, Maple neck, and Rosewood fret-board. Chrome hardware, Fender / Schaller Deluxe machine heads and an American Standard 2-point bridge. This has the original 3-ply white pick guard, 3 U.S. Vintage Reissue single coil pickups, and a 5 position blade pickup switch with Delta Tone wiring. The Delta-Tone wiring is an old Fender trick for producing just a bit more midrange and hotter output from the Strat. The no-load tone pot works like a standard tone knob from positions one-to-nine, but at ten it is removed from the wiring completely so that you get the full, unadulterated sonic output of your pickup. It means more output and more treble without using a booster pedal or active controls.
