1968 Gibson SG Junior
Original 1968 Gibson SG Junior in Cherry Finish - w/Gigbag!
This is a great playing 1968 Gibson SG Junior Cherry Model Electric Guitar. We've examined this guitar thoroughly and found absolutely no cracks, or repairs. The only modifications made to this guitar are new tuning machines (vintage repro Kluson machines have been installed and work great) and the Bad @ss Bridge. There had been Grover tuners installed at one time, so there are adapter bushings in place. The actual wiring doesn’t appear to be stock Gibson, but the pots date to 1966. (137 66..)
This SG Jr. has all the normal light scuffs and scratches of a 40+ year old electric guitar. The finish on the face has light scratches and dings throughout. The back of the body has some larger finish wear, dings, worming and some buckle rash at the center (pictured). The neck is very healthy and straight with some light wear in the lower playing positions and a few dings and scratches throughout. The Brazilian rosewood fingerboard is healthy with almost no visible fret wear. The headstock has some light finish wear throughout but nothing severe. There are screw holes for the once installed Grover machines now covered by the replaced Kluson machines.
This SG Junior is a fabulous playing guitar and the original 9.2K P-90 sounds enormous. The action is low with no fret buzzing or dead spots anywhere and the intonation is set correctly. All electronics are functioning perfectly.
