1960's SILVERTONE MODEL S1446
1960's SILVERTONE MODEL S1446 made by Harmony of Chicago in the early 1960s. This is a thin-line, hollow body guitar. The pickups are Gibson Mini-Humbuckers with a split pole layout made exclusively by Gibson for this Silvertone model ….really!! mother-of-pearl inlays on the neck, and a Bigsby tremolo/whammy bar. This guitar ranges from Jazz to Surf Punk and many styles in between. . This guitar is in good condition, with some dings and dents throughout the body. The jack area hasn’t been broken as is so often the case with these guitars. The neck is straight and there is very little fretwear. Pick guard is PRESENT. I believe everything on it is original. Black made by Harmony - used by Chris Isaac (his first album was even named "Silvertone" !) - with Bigsby vibrato. This model use Gibson pickups never used on any other Harmony model | Date(s): April 19, 2004. Album by Daniel Wollock. Photos by Daniel Wollock. 1 - 1 of 1 Total. 2798 Visits. |
