Shin-Hodaka (October 17-18, 2003)| Getting out of the bath on Sunday morning, we took the opportunity to drop the Fujifilm camera into the hot water. Chiemi's Sony had a flat battery, and of course them batteries is Sony proprietary: so no photos of Nagano, Shirane-san, Karuizawa, Shionosawa toge, Manba-machi's fishmonger or anything either side of Chichibu. Sorry ! |

A day off in Norcal (21st July, 2012)| Couldn't find a rental car on Friday night, so... a rental bike. Rode a circuit from Oakland through the Napa wine country , over the hills to the coast and the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway, route 1), stopping at John Muir Woods and returning via the Golden Gate and Bay bridges. |

Nakatsugawa rindou (November 9th, 2015)A blast off-road by myself. I was too late in the year for O-darumi pass, so after Nakatsugawa rindou, I took Shinshu pass out of Kawakami, found a way through the woods to the "Crystal Line", and set to polishing my two-wheel drifting on its miles and miles of wet leaves.
Stopped for coffee at a Machioka Family Mart, then headed home on the Chuo.
"Massive props" to Honda Cars Saitama of Hanno city, who bled my rear brake for me, for free, when I fronted up on my old wreck of a scrambler and interrupted their 9am branch meeting. |
