Morning light from Iceland Lake
Pussy Paws
Iceland Lake
Due to a mistake in the book we stayed at the much less attractive Iceland Lake. This is Ridge Lake just a few 100 meters aways. Beautiful.
Cross Country to Long Lake. View down past Lewis lake into the glacial valley we hiked up out of.
Heavy snow meant stunning wildflowers late into the season.

Sunset on Long Lake. Stellar fishing.
Buck Lake. Probably the most beautiful lake on the hike.

Emigrant Lake and the point where Melissa caught "Mr. Johnson." He was so big (rainbow about 5 lbs) that the rod wasn't stiff enough to land him and the line was too weak and broke.
Rarely visited Lower Twin Island Lake. Hardly even a trail there. These fish had the unqiue ability to bite through the line. Lost 5 lures to them. The ones we caught we smoked over an open fire.
Melissa has ankle/shoe issues. She hiked the rest of the trip in the little red Solomons.

Black Bear Lake
Fishing at Snow Lake. Not a bite. Skunked.

Old mine at Snow Lake.

Emigrant Pass.

The hike down. This also doubled as a road to the mine.
The drop down to Kennedy Lake. After, hiking 14 miles already this was a difficult site.
Evening on Big Sam. The trail came down from the right. Great fishing.
