Poster Style & Other Artist Drawn PC's
Many airline posters were also made as postcards. Airlines from all over the world produced cards like that. In addition to the poster section I've added albums for other airline related postcards that were artist drawn as well as postcards showing airline route maps. Lastly I've included a small group of U.S. government postal cards that that were used by several airlines to advertise some aspect of their business.

1. Posters
One of the more colorful series of postcards of the airlines are the poster style cards. These were issued by the airlines and they used art created by artists from their country. I think they are a lot more interesting than the modern day posters using photographs. I've listed them by airline and show the home country in text under the titles.

Other Artist Drawn Postcards
2. Other Artist Drawn Postcards
There are many other artist drawn postcards made by the airlines with many different themes. There is an especially nice and scarce series of a Preview of Tomorrows Flying Clippers made by Pan American Airways. The series of Air France Breguet aircraft issued by the Breguet company are beautifully done. The country listed at the bottom of the descriptions is the country of the airline, not where the postcard was made.

Airline Routes and Maps
3. Airline Routes and Maps
Airlines would sometimes include route maps on postcards given to passengers showing all the cities the airline serviced. A nice group of those are shown in this album. Also included are some flight information postcards.

Airline Advertising on Government PC's
4. Airline Advertising on Government PC's
Businesses all over the United States used government postal cards to advertise their wares or offer promotions of some kind. Some of the airlines did this also and a selection of those I've found are shown here. These are generally pretty scarce postcards. They are similar to what we call junk mail today so many of them were just thrown away.
