We hiked Piute Pass From North Lake, up from Bishop, CA into the John Muir Wilderness for some base camp wandering. First from Golden Trout lake, then Hutchison Meadow, and up toward Pine Creek Pass and French Canyon, camping at Elba Lake. Back tracking, with a stop at little Desolation Lake.
