"Rescues"
This is legislation to help rein in Illegal "rescues". Please open and read each PDF file.

The word “puppy mill” is not a defined word. It is only a derogatory OPINION implying negligence and abuse secured by a mental image in your mind of its meaning. Would you ever call someone a child molester via social media without ever meeting that person or actually securing FACTS? I hope you would think about the instant hate and distrust you would cause that person forever.

This is America, and we have the right to choose a pet, from either an unregulated “rescue” group or a regulated Professional breeder. Not every breed of animal is suitable for everybody, nor is everybody suitable to care for every “rescue” animal. Both professional breeders and reputable rescues are in the legal business of placing companion animals to individuals for some type of monetary compensation. ADOPT OR SHOP. However the difference between the two businesses is what the public gets in return from this transaction:

An adoption fee, donation, and/ or a rehoming fee is the monetary compensation an individual gives to a “rescue” in exchange for an animal:  that comes from a non-regulated entity, does not have any regulated standards of care, and does not receive a guarantee for the animal’s heritage, history or health.

A sale or purchase is the monetary compensation an individual gives a professional breeder in exchange for an animal:  that comes from a regulated entity, has regulated standards of care, and does receive a guarantee for the animal’s heritage, history and health.

Illegal "rescues"
1. Illegal "rescues"  (2017)
This is legislation designed to mandate minimal standards of care for all companion animals regardless of location whether they are in a kennel or rescue. A dog is a dog, a cat is a cat. I have sent this info to all states and it has been ignored. Please open each PDF file and read. It is up to you to get this heard and put into law.

America is being told that all "breeders" are horrible and need to be shut down while all "rescues" can do what ever they want because they are "saving" an animal. America is being forced to only go to Good Will and cannot shop at Macy's because all of their stores are horrible and you are wrong to go there. Please keep your right to choose what you want from a credible entity regardless of a title. A dog is a dog and a cat is a cat and minimal care is all that is asked.
