This is how I received the helmet, in its RAW casting.  It has a couple of imperfections, but I could work with that.

These are my pants and compression shirt for the costume.  I used black RIT dye to get the -originally- white shirt to a light grey color, and give the bluish grey pants a darker tone.  I already have my "Brando-style" jacket handy.

There are different versions of the RED HOOD out there.  I'm making the version on the LEFT, since it matches the clothing color to what I have available... but will add elements from the right, like the silver buckles all over the costume.

Sprayed a coat of automotive primer, ready to sand the hell out of it, but not before I apply a layer of fiberglass mat on the inside for strength.

Close-up of the main area that needs a lot of work... the top of the head and forehead.  The casting (as I was told) came out with that area of the resin not perfectly cured.  Again, I'll make it work.

Fiberglass reinforcement on the inside, and then trim edges, cut the eye holes, and sand any imperfections.

Just a light sanding after the fiberglass session, before the BONDO application to specific areas.

Marked the areas where Bondo should be applied.

Bondo applied to those areas.  Waiting for drying time to then sand smooth.

Side view. See the side "hole" that I had to fill up with bondo.  I told you this needed a lot of work.

NO, it's not chicken pox!  I'm using Bondo Glazing Putty to cover the tiny holes and imperfections around the helmet.

All sanded smooth and last layer of primer.  Silky smooth!

And after two coats of paint, and finally painted the black details.  It's DONE!  All I need is material for the eyes and padding.

Now, it's time for the knife.  There are two different versions of the knife... but this is the one I will go with.  Looks like those fancy knifes found on SPENCERS or Swords stores, even at conventions... but I'll make a plastic and wood version of it.
