It started w/ a private reception at Pilar's Loft at 5pm w/ cash bar and an assortment of delicious hors d'oeuvres from Market to Table. At 7pm our group relocated downstairs to the historic Garden Theatre for a live stage production of "ALL SHOOK UP" a rendition of Elvis Presley. Pilar's Loft, Market to Table, and the Garden Theatre's warm hospitalities were an Out-of-the-Park Home Run for our group.

Ragan Day Retirement Celebration (September 13th, 2018)The CFFCA business meeting held on Septemeber 13th, 2018 was dedicated in honor of Retiring CFFCA Chaplain Ragan Vandegriff after serving over 40+ years. Special presentations were given from CFFCA, First Baptist Orlando, Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs, Florida Fire Chiefs' Association, Orlando Fire Department, Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, Reedy Creek Improvement District, Orange County Fire Rescue Department, and the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
Very special visual presentations were shown throughout the program consisting of slide show, videos, Sheriff Deming's Message, water salute, and OFD radio tone out of all stations.
Over 83 friends, associates and colleagues were in attendance to recognize Ragan and wish him well as he emarked on retirement and relocation to their north GA home.

On February 20, 21, and 22, 2018 the CFFCA co-Hosted with Orange County Fire Rescue Department the IAFC COLS-1 at the Hilton - Altamonte Springs for 100 CFFCA agency officers. This symposium was made possible through the IAFC, IAFC Foundation and a grant by Motoroal Soluitions Foundation. Fourteen [14] CFFCA agencies participated through student seat sponsorships with no cost to the attending students.
This officer development program was developed by subject-matter experts following the criteria set forth in the NFPA officer standards. Delivery of the subject matter was by nationally reknown speakers that consisted of: Chief Tom Jenkins [IAFC President], Richard Gasaway, Ph.D. [Retired Chief - Situational Awareness Matters], Chief Mike Burton [Pinellas Suncoast Fire Rescue District], Chief of Training [Command Institute, NIOSH FF Fatality Investigative Program, International Society of Fire Service Instructors], Deputy Chief Steve Prziborowski [Santa Clara County-CA FD], and Deputy Chief Michael Evans [Brighten Area-MI Fire Authority].
The robust instructional format generated an excellent learning platform with healthy exchange of information, discussion, and counter points.
