Parker & Grandpa - our dock at Black Bear Lodge.   This is actually the picture of Parker's first sunfish caught in the lake (the 10th fish he had caught in his life).  We lost count a couple of days later because he caught so many more.

Greg and Parker - we're heading out to try our luck.  We had a nice boat and were able to fish from one end of the lake to the other.

Elaine and Steve & Sean and Manon came over on Monday and spent the day with us.  Here we all are on the dock enjoying a little fishing.  I'm on the left trying a little fly fishing.

Grandpa reading Parker one of the chapters in his book about robots on Mars.  We had fun drawing the characters in the book.

On a cloudy day we headed north to the "Loose Moose" bar and grill.  It was closed but we got these shots in front of the moose anyway.

We were close to the Michigan border so we drove up so that Parker could say he had been in Michigan. We stopped at this roadside park just over the border.

Another view of the lakefront trail.  The swim area is at the right side in the distance.  It was too cold to swim on the day the picture was taken.

Parker fishing in his "bluegill hole" - he pulled a lot of sunfish out of here.  It was amazing - he learned to  cast the spinning rod after three tries.  He was even baiting his own hook by the end of the week.

Getting ready to leave on our last morning - this is Parker out on our balcony.  There was a grill there that Greg used to cook some delicious meals during the week.

This is the south campfire ring.  They had a campfire here on Sunday night.  Parker and I went down and they were having a hard time starting  the fire. What they were doing was piling a bunch of logs on top a newspaper and lighting it and expecting to get a fire. I soon got a fire going.  On our last night, there was a campfire at the north campfire ring.  Another group was having trouble getting their fire started.  Parker went up and volunteered our help: "My grandpa and me are pretty good at starting fires".
