We held a pizza party at our house and the next day Greg and Karen (after super human efforts to get everything ready in time) hosted a large get together. The dinner was catered by Larry's Smokehouse.

Diablo Lake Adventure Tour
August 2, 2008
The clouds parted as we drove into Newhalem for the start of the Seattle City Light's Diablo Lake Adventure Tour. You take a bus from Newhalem up the North Cascades Highway to Diablo Dam where you board the Alice Ross III for a tour up the lake to Ross Dam and back. When we got back to Newhalem, we took the Ladder Creek Falls Loop trail.
