Hardy House Finches
I enjoyed the lively anctics of the house finches--bright pink males and drab brown females--among my most enertaining visitors. They positioned themselves on my deck to catch the heaviest snowfalls, then stared at me while were covered with snow, looking very forlorn. Other times they delighted in pushing each other off the bird feeder.
