Speed Sailing over 30 MPH
Long Island has some great flatwater windsurfing sites. This particular one on the south shore is particularly shallow and protected by the barrier islands.
I pulled out my vintage (90's equipment) Tiga 260 and 6 meter North Spectro. While pro speed sailors reach speeds in the 50 range, sailing in the 30's and making planing jibes is still a rush!
