Some pictures of the Cedar Island Challenge. NE winds 15-20 with higher gusts produced too much spray for my non-waterproof camera to chronicle the whole journey.

Race Conditions - NE winds 15-20 with higher gusts, waves around 3 ft. Mostly clear skies.  Competitors sailed in a clockwise direction heading down the East side to the checkpoint, then up the west side.
Finishers sailed over 33 total miles.

Wild run from Long to Lookout Pt. flying an overpowered oscillating spinnaker while surfing waves. Hit 9.2 MPH

Checkpoint down the road by the bridge.  Took everyone approx. 2 hours to go 11.5 miles

"Yellow Submarine" on flat water side of West Bay after a 4 hour beat.  Deceivingly calm here but rough steep chop further offshore.

Looking out into West Bay. Hit speeds in excess of 6 MPH  reaching in very flat water in the lee of the shore.  Relaxing fun!
