17 Detail of Angel Tear
Lino Tagliapietra’s “Angel Tear” series is one of his tallest, along with the “Dinosaur” series. In contrast to the “Dinosaurs,” however,” the necks of these rather tall glass sculptures are straight rather than curved and the bases are usually larger and wider. All of Lino Tagliapietra’s well-known techniques such as surface cutting, cane work and the use of “murini,” can be seen in this beautiful series.
