Acrylic and Grid Stacked Cages by Kathy
This is a smaller cage setup that is intended for use with single pigs such as those who do not get along with others or those with special needs. The photos include photos of two sets of bonded pairs who will move into another larger setup when it is completed.

The cage is made from metal shelving, wheels, and poles from The Container Store, grid panels, and custom-made acrylic bases. I went to Tap Plastics and had bases made to fit on 48"L x 18"D shelves but will swap out those shelves for 48"L x 24"D shelves and add a 1" x 6" wood shelf to extend the depth of each cage. The acrylic bases are 45"L x 16.5"D x 6"H (and 4.5"H in the front). The thickness is 3/16". The acrylic base that is on the rabbit condo is the one used in the Lupine Garden theme cage and it measures 45"L x 21"D x 6.5"H and it is 1/4" thick. If I were to have new bases made, I'd use the size above since it was made to fit on a 24" x 48" utility table. The cage was going to be a theme cage but I may just leave it as it is so that more light into the cages.
