Here's what the finished hammock looks like with Dara in it! This hammock is shown made from cotton material, but can be made out of your pig's favorite fabric. Many pigs love the softness of fleece, terry, or ultra-suede.
| 20" square fabric, folded into a triangle, and 2 grids that make a corner (for example only; hammock will be attached to your cage).
| The red colored squares are where to put your fabric through. The square positions are important.
|
Create the hammock from the back.
| Insert the ends into the top squares. Twist each end toward yourself to provide a more secure front edge to the hammock.
| Close-up of edge turned toward you and pinned in place.
|
Pin the sides in such a way that you catch most of the fabric, yet the safety pin remains inaccessable to the pigs.
| Insert the hammock's back corner through one of the indicated bottom squares. Safety-pin the hammock's back corner in place.
| Here's what it looks like from the front.
