We took a no-frills cruise of "classic Greece" in November, visiting ancient sites in Athens, to the west of Athens and in the northern Peleponnese.

Tricky navigation during the pre-dawn hours through the 75-foot-wide Corinth Canal. This is the canal wall and the left side of the ship.

The canal widens a bit here.  Construction of the canal was completed in 1893.

The canal is about 4 miles long and was completed in the late 1800's.  Don't be fooled by those lovely spas on the ship deck.  They were only lukewarm.
