Viviane Ya-Ya is a 2-yr-old girl who was evacuated from a Louisiana shelter after Hurricane Katrina.

Like her namesake, Viviane Walker of "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood," she is fun-loving, quirky, a tad self-centered, devoted to her family and friends, and opinionated, with a tendancy to be rather querulous.

Vivi is ultra people-oriented and wants little more out of life than to be in your arms or lap, receiving your affection and attention.

She "ain't too proud to beg" for it, either!

Vivi is housetrained and knows how to use a doggie door. She loves to run around the yard, looking up in the treetops to see if there are any squirrels who need to be barked at.

Vivi probably used to be an only dog, the center of attention, and has had to learn how to co-exist harmoniously with the other dogs in her fosterhome. In the beginning she would get snappy with them if they tried to take your attention when she was in your lap.

But she has made tremendous progress and now enjoys playing with the others. She especially loves to wrestle with the young ones and does so gently.

Although she can still get bossy because she does want to be in charge, she will lovingly groom the other dogs...those who will let her!

She can be uncomfortable around young, unpredictable kids, and will snarl if she feels threatened by them. We've been working to socialize her with youngsters and she has come a long way, but to be on the safe side, she still should be considered unpredictable.

She needs a loving home with experienced terrier owners who can appreciate her "Rat-titude" but keep it under control and not let her go back to thinking she is the Queen of the House.

If you're looking for a delightful, high spirited, loyal companion, Vivi has one thing to say: "Ya-Ya!!!"
