Miller
Resilient Miller came to rescue and quickly bounced back from the trauma of a horrific abandonment. His ability to shake off the bad and embrace the new is testament to a great upbringing somewhere in his past. For questions about Miller, please EMAIL ME.To inquire about adoption, please visit the New Rattitude website HERE.

The shelter asked New Rattitude to rescue this little man, who was from an abandonment case.

How could we say no to this preciousness?

Miller's background was pretty awful. He and several other animals had been found abandoned in a home.

And all of the dogs were starving, flea infested, and suffering from skin infections from lying in unsanitary conditions.

But Miller was bright-eyed, personable, and engaging.

Once in his foster home, he immediately started showing that somewhere in his past five he had been well trained and cared for. He was comfortable in the house and with household noises and new people.

He knows the "sit" command, did fine with a bath, and has no objection to being handled.

In fact, he seeks it out!

Within just minutes he was comfortable umping up onto our laps when invited...

He was pretty scruffy and smelly from his rough time over the past few weeks.

But overall he seemed no worse for wear from the ordeal.

He didn't mind getting a bath and also did well with his nail trim later.

After a second bath on Day Two, he was already starting to look so much better!

Miller met his new foster brother Guinness with mild interest. The two have gotten along fine for the most part, with neither paying much attention to the other except for an occasional nose touch or booty sniff.

But because Guinness is blind and hearing impaired, he had a couple of occasions where he jumped up onto the couch, not realizing Miller was there, and Miller told him off when he landed on top of him. That scared Guinness, who now avoids Miller when he can.

"Hey, you wouldn't appreciate being jumped on either, would you?"

Miller tends to follow us around, wanting to be near us. He wants to not be left behind, so he will occasionally try to slip out unnoticed when we go out into the garage.

Can't blame a guy for trying!
