Our goal this time was to shave down the 6-0 defeat aginst them in our first game. We did well!!
We started out with no spares, then Tim arrived... then Justin was sent off with a red card for a tackle from behind. (No injury, other than to Justin's leg when the guy landed on him.) We were then shorthanded for 3/4 of the game.
Kyle, Colin and Craig were away at a basketball tourney, so Bruce was in goal. He made two fantastic saves in a quick series in the first half — and a few more in the second half — and was helped by the post, crossbar and an offside call to keep it at 0-0 well into the second half.
"Nil-nil" as David called it. Amazing!
Hanway got a breakaway and needed 3 d-men to stop him. We also had two or three good shots on goal.
But it couldn't last. We were running on fumes and the Young Guns kept firing. All three of their goals were beauties, but we weren't going to give up any junkers. We did ourselves proud, losing only 3-0 to an undefeated team.
(My pedometer says I did 9,000 steps in this game. One running step = approx 1 meter... so about 5.5 miles. 5,500 steps last game.)
Not too many pics this time, as I was busy.

"As a reflection of the times, Blue Iris brings together the dependable aspect of blue, underscored by a strong, soul-searching purple cast. Emotionally, it is anchoring and meditative with a touch of magic." Hey... that sounds like David!
