Beautiful day for soccer, after a few days of rain and wind. 0-0 after the first half, though Al came close and I bounced one off the left corner of the cross-bar — then got an elbow to the face, which wasn't called because I "ran into it," said the ref. Lots of dirt in this game and hopefully Wednesday night's ref will control it. Early in the second half, Josh put a cross to the top of the box. Al stopped it and passed off to Justin, who knocked it home. Later in the game, Justin got punched in the eye when the ref wasn't watching and Justin lost his contact lens. With about 10 minutes to go in the game, Chilliwack City scored off a throw-in, knocked on to what we feel was an offside player. The goal was allowed. We had lots of time to get it back but didn't quite do it. 1-1 final. Tawren and Clinton Denoni joined us and Brian Clark was back. It was also Todd Gatto's first game. Zane's back next Saturday.
