1-0 Chopper lead after the first half. Al blocked a free kick, then chased down the rebound and took it down to their box, where he drew a penalty kick. Out of gas, he gave the shot to David Featonby, our new Kiwi midfielder. The keeper was very athletic, but dove to the right and David put it low and to the left.
With the wind in our faces in the second half, Brands put the heat on and got it to 2-1. Al put one off the cross bar and Zane couldn't control the rebound, then Justin couldn't convert on a header in front. Justin was on fire defensively, tackling hard but hardly drawing the ref's attention. ('Good young ref, by the way.)
They were really pouring it on late in the game and made it a 4-1 final.
Thanks to Rebecca Arrowsmith for flagging our sideline.
