We had less trouble with the Dirty Birds. These guys had speed and skill and they picked holes in us.

They did have an inexperienced keeper, but we didn't get much action on him. It was good to have James back, taking lots of abuse up front.

Matthew got the opening goal, then they countered right away with their own goal.

They got another before the half.

We tightened up in the second half, then James got pulled down in the box and put the PK past the keeper.

Summit countered right away, then got another on a scrambly play in front of our goal.

Tai saved one on the line — and I think we were saved twice by offside calls. As well, Al got away with a ball on his arm in the box. The ref made a number of "no foul" calls on hand touches, as the rules say it must be a deliberate attempt to touch the ball. Not all refs are as kind.

Clean but sometimes rugged game. No cards or disputes. That's good.

Great PK by James. What keeper could have stopped that one?

Is Kyle calling "offside"?

Lousy picture, but there's an Abby player with only one Chopper left... so he likely was offside. (Not that it was the clinching goal, just interesting.)
