Wallshelf into a corner I decided to refit my TT wallshelf into a corner at 45 deg. Mostly just due to aesthetics - i preferred the way it looks. I had not used my wallshelf for about a year , but just had to refit it due to footfall and external vibration issues. This is basically how I did it. Although i am a maintenance engineer I am not an expert woodworker, i just did what looked to be logical and safe to me. It seems to have worked out just fine. The TT sounds great in its new location and most importantly seems to be immune to external vibrations and accoustic feedback from the speakers. Hope this gives you a few idea's... |

Sids Y-PSU ? (September 10, 2003)| OK here it is my DIY version of the MF X-PSU. Firstly I must publically thank Pinky Floyd for sparking the inspiration to have a go at this little project. If any of you have ever owned a Musical Fidelity X-PSU power supply, ( like i have )then if you have ever taken a peak inside you will know what a simple little device it is. This my version. it should cost around about <£30 to make depending on where you source your parts. I will add more detail at a later date these pictures and breif descriptions are just to get the ball rolling, hope you enjoy. |

Sids Posh Power Cord (September 10, 2003)Just my version of an aftermarket high current power cord. Hopefully this design will have good levels of RFI rejection and may even increase sonic performance of Hi-Fi components it is used on. Remeber : ELECTRICITY KILLS don't take this project on if you are not confident of completeing it safely, your safety is in your hands not mine and therefore i take no responsibility for your actions. Have your power cord safety checked and certified by a qualified electrician before use. Hope you enjoy giving it a try. It is absed on good design philosophy using quality components. Remeber measure thrice cut once and take your time, it should be fun. |
