1 DSC04182 Supplies: Ink Pad, 2 Circle Punches each a different size, one of which is sized 1-1/4", and the other 1-3/8", Stamp, White Cardstock and Silver Cardstock.
Sorry about the sun - it was a very nice sunny afternoon today, in Hawaii!!! (Memorial Day)
| 2 DSC04183 Step 1: Stamp your image on the white cardstock
| 3 DSC04184 Take your larger of the 2 circle punches (1-3/8) and punch your image out.
| 4 DSC04185 Flip the punch over, so that you can see the image that you are punching out. This makes it a whole lot easier to punch out your image.
| 5 DSC04186 Now take your smaller circle punch (1-1/4")
|
6 DSC04187 Now, you're going to use the punch to punch a circle in the metal cardstock.
| 7 DSC04188 Now, take the larger circle punch, and punch a hole on top of the previous punch that you just did. You can't really tell from the picture - but if you look close - you will see a very thin metal cardstock about to be punched out again.
| 8 DSC04189 This is what you'll get after punching the little punch out - a thin silver cardstock (this becomes your faux metal)
| 9 DSC04190 With your glue, go around the thin silver punchout, cause you're going to attach it to the image that was punched out earlier.
| 10 DSC04191 Now stick the thin punch out to create a border around the punched out image. This is it's results, creating a look alike metal tag.
|
11 DSC04192 Here it is completed on a card. Now, wasn't THAT easy, and don't you think that it looks like a real metal framed tag?!?! Keep in mind, that you can use not only silver cardstock, but brass, gold and copper colors as well. This also works for square punches too!!! Also, there is no limit to changing the inner color of the tag. It is never ending, and you'll be creating tons of your own tags.
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial!!
