Hi Debbie and thank you so much for this wonderful site. With your help I was finally able to identify and date my recent Sarah Coventry earrings. They are from the Contessa series and date from 1975 and I now know that I need to keep my eyes open for the matching brooch/pendant and the bracelet. Go ahead and continue your great work. It's a great help for us collectors all around the world.

Greetings from Germany,
Pia

I recently bought a Emmons set at a rummage sale. It's a broach and clip-on earrings. It looks like a leaf, but could be a feather. It's very simple, no jewels or anything, silver. I'm just wondering if you know how I can figure out when it was made and it's name. I can get you pictures if you'd like, just email me. Thank you so much! Sabreena

hi there i was given by my step-grandma a necklace, i think it is silver and it has big links in the middle and smaller links joining on the outside. It has a silver hook to clasp it up and it  has the little mirror charm with sarah coventrys nameand copytright on it and SC on the other side of it. The necklace is more like a choker and it seems to be silver and quite heavy. I cant find anything like this anywhere or what year it is from, can anybody help me?

What a great reference tool you have created.  It helped me identify names and circa dates of 5 pieces of Sarah Coventry jewelry for me including a "Twilight Pendant" I just purchased but did not see anywhere else online.  I really enjoyed looking at the old catalogs and recognized a couple of pieces I had as a young teenager.  I have bookmarked your site for future reference.  Thank you!

I was searching for the origin of my Sarah Coventry ring online and your catalogue page showed me it was in fact Starlet 5396. Unfortunately one of the red stones are missing and I'd like to replace it but am unsure what stone it is?
Can anybody help me?

My e-mail is lauren.mear@hotmail.co.uk

Thank you

I loaned my Sarah Coventry Book out and the person actually moved out of town with my book.  If anyone has one by author Deborah I would like to purchase it even if it is used for a reasonable price.  Will go to Amazon to look but if you want to get rid of yours, please let me know.  And, I love SC Jewelry as I showed it when I was a young mother of 2 in the evenings when hubby came home from work.  Loved my "blue kit" and my sponsor and yes, the jewelry and people.  Would like to purchase certain pieces that have special sentimental value if anyone has some for sale.  Write me and I will let you know which pieces I am lacking.  I have some pieces I've been buying little by little at tag sales but someone stole a particularly nice goldtone spring or hinged bracelet at a show I was doing several years ago. It had medium green stones and a leafy pattern I believe, and I did not see it in this Web Site of Debbie's.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you all!  Loved reading your comments about Sarah and learning the company is back in business.  sjp pringleantiques@gmail.com

I am now very curios as to what my treasures are worth not that I am wanting to sell them but because I love them and cant help but wonder.

I was searching for information about the Sarah Coventry World Fair Necklace and found the picture you have. I have this necklace, still new on the cardboard. It says 8947 World Fair and with the box. I found this in a box of estate sale items that I bought. Any idea how much this is worth?

hello. Sarah Coventry is very close to my heart. My grandfather was the Vice President of sales in Newark until he passed away in 1972.  We have most of their pieces until the mid 1970's along with many sales meetings presented on albums. It is amazing the integrity of this jewlery line...much more so then that now but I still love to walk through department stores and see the SC logo. His heart was into that company and we will forever cherish our memories of sledding down the hills of the corporate office in Newark as a child. God bless you and thank you for sharing your wonderful collection. I really enjoyed looking through all of your pieces, a few of them I do not remember.
Take care.

Hey, I love that you are helping people to identify vintage pieces of Sarah Coventry Jewelry.  I actually have one necklace that I am unsure of the year it was put out.  It is a 10 strand silver chain style necklace, stamped on the closure is Sarah.  It was originally my mothers and she said it was late 60's poss. early 70's.  I am currently a stlye consultant for Sarah Coventry and had planned to ask our president/CEO of the company but I keep forgeting to bring it to our meetings.  It is a great company with awesome jewlery. You can ck out my website at www.sarahcoventry.com/sblackmon

I've recently bought your book and it has helped me to learn and identify Sarah Coventry items. I was wondering whether you could help me to find out which earrings came in a clear plastic box with a card inside stating "Jewels by Sarah Coventry" and the number 5290. The earrings that are attached to the card are not marked and I doubt that they are SC due to the quality of the workmanship (not SC standard in my opinion). It would be great to know!
Also, I've been searching everywhere for an index of the SC cardex catalogues. Is one available anywhere? Thanks for your help.

Wonderful book. I submitted a book review on Amazon. Thanks for the good work. I have a bracelet, pin, and ring from the Shangri La collection. I have only seen this set in silvertone with turquoise, clear and purple stones. I came across an identical styled pin in goldtone, with red, blue and green stones. No signature. Anyone have any info on an alternate version of this set being produced? Thank you.

I was surprised to discover, after looking at your pictures, that a bracelet I bought at a junk store for a dollar is in the Fall/Winter catalogue from 1968! It was called the Young and Gay bracelet and I have it in silvertone! It has the Sarah Cov mark on it! I am very pleased with my purchase!

Hello Debbie!

First - great site, very helpful.
Second, I've bought this beautiful ring recently and I couldn't find it in the catalogs. So, I hope you can help.
It's gold tone and signed Sarah Coventry, of course. It has red glass in a gold tone cage with a clear rhnestone on the top. Very, very beautiful. I'm looking for the earrings to match (this things usually come in sets, don't they?).

Thanks

Hi Debbie,
I have a necklace and earring set that my mother gave to me and that I want to give to my daughter. I am trying to figure out what the stone is and hope that you can help. They are from the Lady Coventry Collection, and the "genuine stones" are small ovals and greenish black in color. On the tag it says 1/20-12KT. GOLD FILLED and below that GENUINE STONE. On the back of the pendant I can read SARAH COV and the earrings are the old-fashioned screw backed type, not pierced. Any help you can give is appreciated. Was wondering if they were possibly jade or emerald. If you need to see a picture I can provide one. Thanks!

Hey Debbie, I have a ring maked c sarah cov sterling with a blue stone.  Do you know from which year this is and if this is a birthstone ring in your catalog?

Thanks for such a good informative site.

Response from Debbie ~ If it's an oval stone having a setting with a scalloped edge, it is mostly like the ring from the 1970's.

Do you know how much The Light of the East Pendant is worth?  It is in mint condition.  The chain has an extender on it, so I don't know if it's original.  Thanks

Thank You, Debbie for all the great information on Sarah Coventry!!  I started last year to go to tag/estate sales and I am finding SC jewelry to sell at my on-line auctions - I'm having a blast!!  I very much appreciate having some information to pass on to potential buyers and collectors.  I remember having the home parties myself in the 60's and 70's and have always loved the SC line of jewelry!

Hi: I am looking for what was probably a childrens necklace.  It was a little silver cat on a chain and he was singing a playing a blue accordian.  He is probably anywhere from the mid 1960's to about 1975. I lost him in a move and have been desparately searching sites to find him again.  This was a treasured piece and it meant alot to me.  Please let me know if you know of any other sites where I could look.  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks very much.

I have an aquamarine birthstone ring that belonged to my great-grandmother.  Your site is the only place that I could find a picture to identify it, mainly because I was not sure what I was looking at.  If anyone knows the make-up of the "sterling silver" used in those I would greatly appreciate the information because I have such sensative skin that normally I cannot wear anything but pure-pure-pure sterling silver, no gold, no platinum, nothing...but I can wear this ring. Thanks a bunch!  Your dedication pays off!

Hi - Years ago, I inherited a big box full of Sarah Cov. jewelry from my great-grandmother.  All of the pieces are still in the box or on the card they came on.  I must have atleast 100 pieces.  I am having a baby next month and am interested in selling the collection.  Any suggestions on who buys collections for a decent price?  I believe some of this stuff is from the 50's and up.

Thank you so much, for the extensive attention to a jewelry designers' work.
I do wish to get in touch with regard to a work (marked copyright (c) Sarah Cov) , which is not shown in any of your collector catalogues.
This is a grape vine, with many grapes in silver or white gold. if it is plate costume jewelry, it fooled me, and I am a silversmith. I thought that it was European silver. it looks very good quality. I can scan it at present (camera in repair) if you want a picture of it.

Just curious about a style that I cannot find, within the collection> I have so far looked at four Sarah Coventry collectors' sites.

Thank you again,

Susan M. Risk

I am looking for earrings to a necklace that I think came out in the mid-70s.  The necklace had a couple bright green beads and a center black cloisonne bead with insets of bright green, and other colors.  The chain was gold.  I think the earrings were a drop of dangle style, but I'm not sure.  I would be glad to buy these from someone or to trade since my Mom sold SC for years and i have duplicates of some items.

You have quite a collection!  Did you know that Sarah Coventry is back?  They have been back in the direct in home sales for about 2 years.  I am a new Style consultant and was doing some research and found your website.  I was looking for vintage pieces I could purchase and bring to my shows to show the quality of Sarah Coventry then and how their new jewelry will stay into the future.  Have you seen the new catalogs.  I have never heard of Sarah Conventry before 2005, but now I absolutely love it.  They turned a non-jewelry wearer into the jewelry lady.  I love the jewelry and the love working and being a part of the company.

Yes, there are several pieces I like, but, since I can name only one,It is the Lion, #40. He does not look ferocious at all, rather more like a pet. Fabulous Site!  Sarah Coventry is no longer in the department stores and has started selling again as in the old days.  I just started with them and this site is such an asset to me.  Thank you.  I had no idea the jewelry was such an heirloom, and so very popular, even today.  This is giving my new business validity.  If anyone wants information on how to get started themselves, they can e-mail me, Sue at portersr@comcast.net.  I am very impressed with how the company is being run.  All the best, sue

Great site--not only for Sarah but also for hairstyles/clothing of that time. I did Sarah parties in 61-62 but have only a few things left. Sure wish I had kept my kit! Versatality was the best thing with SC-so many different ways to wear. I do notice some things in the 75 catalogs that was in my 61-62 also so it was very "lasting". I have the "starlit trio" from your collection and was surprised to see only the outer pin offered on another site!!

What a fantastic website. I was very interested in finding out about a piece of jewelry my grandmother gave me when I was a little girl. I wear it all the time and receive so many comments on how pretty it is. Now I can say that it's a Sarah Coventry Contessa Brooch! and better still, I saw it advertised on a different website for $100 US .... not that I'd sell mine, but nice to know it holds more than sentimental value. Thanks again!

The daring size actually have two clips on each earring to hold in place.  They measure 2 3/4" long! “The ultimate in luxury is Feather Fantasy and yes with a price to fit your pocketbook. For fashion is a look, not a price and Feather Fantasy has a look of elegance, beauty, and graceful design. This will give your outfit a look of ‘up to the minute’ fashion.”

~Starlit Trio~ Goldtone with satin finish, clear rhinestones and simulated pearls. This piece is like having three pins in one, as the center piece can be removed to wear them separately or together. A lovely versatile piece of jewelry. “Sarah’s ingenuity has really come to the fore in this glamorous three-way pin. Wear each pin separately or combine them for a large, more sparkling trio. First a textured goldentone circle-type pin for more glittering occasions – a rhinestone scatter pin and for all-out glamour – the combination StarLit Trio.”
