Here is a collection of baseball cards and related sports memorabilia I have gathered over the past four decades. My goal has been to put together a modest, yet diverse and interesting, selection of cards and memorabilia that capture the essence of baseball from the turn of the 20th century to the early 1970s, when I discovered the game as a youngster. The Batter-Ups feature die cut action figures of most of the players that mattered from 1934 to 1936, with the notable exception of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Also missing are Hall of Famers Red Ruffing and Paul Waner. The cards were produced by National Chicle Company of Cambridge, Mass. There are two separate series, the first released in 1934, and the second in 1936, totaling 192 cards. Each series offers a variety of color variations.
