Janet Watson sent me this picture from Reservoir Park in Tyrone after a late winter snowstorm.  Reservoir Park is a wonderful place in any season.

The Tyrone Pool in winter - I spent many a happy hour here in my long gone youth. (from Janet Watson)  The pool is across the road from Reservoir Park.

Parker and Evan - A January trip to Richmond Beach Park. Parker is wearing Greg's old Steeler hat (that thing is indestructible) and Evan is wearing Andrew's old stocking cap.

You can have a lot of fun pretending with a "fort" like this.

Noodles and Rajah - Noodles is the neighbors cat who likes to come over and "beg" a treat.  Rajah sits there and growls - she doesn't like it one bit.  All you have to do is say "Noodles" and Rajah will growl.

On a nice day in Febuary, Sue and I went down to the beach near the Edmonds Ferry Landing and I got this shot of the ferry heading across the Sound.

Parker, Evan, and Grandpa - Greg built this climber for Andrew way back when.  Andrew fixed it up a couple of summers ago and now a new generation is using it.  I have a shot of Andrew and the neighborhood kids on the climber and one of them is wearing the same helmet that Parker is wearing.

Evan is getting a little frisky here - I don't want him to take a nosedive off the climber.

A good way to spend a sunny day in February.

One of our last trips to the Beach House - Rajah sunning herself on the windowsill.  It's a long drive down to Pacific Beach but especially so when your passengers are Rajah and Evan.  Rajah hates to go in the car (MEEEEEOOOOWWWW'S for three hours).

Evan - He and Rajah maintain a respectful distance so he was really non-plussed when Rajah climbed up into his lap on the trip down.

Rajah won't sit in your lap and doesn't like to be held but she will climb up on top of you while your are sleeping.

Evan raises his foot at the strategic moment - coincidence or not?  I think not.

Close up of "Cat" - Rajah was the model but Mark has a very similarly colored cat.  Sue "made" the mottled effect of the stripes using markers and crayons.

Lelia and Roland had these bears made from  Parker and Evan's  Great-Great Grandmother's fur pieces.  Parker's bear is named H.R for Harry R. Miller and Evan's is named T. Harry for T. Harry Smith.

In March we took the boys to the Seattle Center and they had these inflatable play areas that the boys could go on.  Parker came down first - we waited and waited for Evan and were getting worried when his head finally peeked over the top - he had to climb up hand over hand to make it to the top.
