We took a trip to Tyrone in May to celebrate Roland Miller's 90th Birthday along with Greg, Parker, and Evan. We stayed at the Stony Point Bed and Breakfast in Tyrone - a wonderful place to stay. We were only in Tyrone for a few days but we enjoyed going up to Reservoir Park and a trip to Bland's Park (Delgrosso's).

enlarge 90KB, 800x557 5 tyrone05-05 One of the favorite things the kids did on our trip to Tyrone in 2003 was go up to Bland's Park (Delgrosso's) in Tipton. Even though this time we were only in for only a few days. Here Evan (foreground) and Parker (upper left) ride a very noisy car ride. The boys think that Bland's Park is better than Disneyland. It really is an exceptional value - they can ride any ride as many times as they like.

enlarge 102KB, 800x557 8 tyrone05-08 Evan and Parker on the flying fish ride - in 2003, I put Evan on this and he screamed bloody murder, but in 2005 it was one of his favorite rides.

enlarge 111KB, 800x557 10 tyrone05-10 Greg and Parker - One of the best rides (my favorite for the last 50+ years is the Dodgem cars) is this roller coaster. Parker was just a good haircut away from not making the height limit on the ride - he couldn't go on it in 2003.
enlarge 112KB, 557x800 11 tyrone05-11 We had a surprise in the Lelia and Roland came up to the park - Here Greg and Lelia meet Evan who ran toward them when he saw them.
enlarge 64KB, 557x800 12 tyrone05-12 Evan takes another turn on the noisy car ride - there is an annoying horn that they play that can really get on your nerves. Of course the kids really enjoy making the noise.
enlarge 109KB, 557x800 13 tyrone05-13 Evan on the kid's Merry Go Round - He wouldn't ride the horse on the big one (Too Scary!) - we sat on the bench.

enlarge 104KB, 800x701 16 tyrone05-16 Roland and Evan - Evan really took to his great grandpa. At one point, he was irritated at me and when he needed help putting on his shoes, I asked him if he wanted me to help him, he replied: "No, I want my other Grandpa".

enlarge 187KB, 800x532 20 stonypt01 We stayed at the Stony Point Bed and Breakfast in Tyrone. We enjoyed our stay there immensely - the owners, Cummins and Peggy McNitt) made us feel that it was a second home.
enlarge 156KB, 800x532 21 stonypt02 Another view of the Stony Point Bed and Breakfast - we had two 2nd floor rooms at this end of the building. The breakfasts were wonderfull)
enlarge 169KB, 800x532 22 stonypt3 Back view of Stony Point B&B - plenty of parking. One of the treats for the boys was the McNitt's dog Piper, who would wait for the boys to get up to play with her. When we got back to Washington, Evan kept asking his dad where's Piper - he wanted to take her home.
