It was a big jump for Evan in Cross Country this year as he moved up to train and race with the Bothell High School squad even though he was still in Junior High. The school district is phasing out it's jr-highs (grades 7-9) in favor of middle schools (grades 6-8) and one of the changes is that certain sports are transitioning earlier with cross country being one of them.

Start of the 10th Annual Twilight XC Invitational's "Serious Open 5000M Race - 10/01/2016. This is the favorite race of the year with thousands of entrants from almost 80 different schools. As a rookie 9th grader, Evan had to enter the "Open Serious" race.
