enlarge 151KB, 1024x768 3 Basie - who looks very innocent, has a Jekyl and Hyde split personality. He pesters Tux and Mavis all the time.
enlarge 217KB, 1024x768 4 Evan got this picture of "poor" Tuckie, who is not much more than skin and bones. This is Tux's favorite chair.
enlarge 235KB, 1024x768 5 Evan with "Nemisis". Nemisis is a cat that we've seen off and on for some time. Often we found him looking in the window at our cats as he cruised the neighborhood. Whenever he would see me he would scamper off, but over time he got used to my being there. When I was able to give him some treats without scaring him off, he started coming around more often!
enlarge 192KB, 1024x768 6 During the cold weather, I made a "house" out of a couple of cardboard boxes and insulated it with fleece blankets and an old sleeping bag. In the morning he would come bursting out when I was going out to get the paper.
enlarge 243KB, 1024x768 7 We think that someone has been taking care of him as he never ate his food as if he was starving (and he doesn't look like it either). He is a very friendly cat and I think he comes around more for the attention rather than the treats or food.
enlarge 270KB, 1024x768 8 If you lay down something rectangular such as a newspaper or a quilt block, Mavis has to try it out. Here she is laying on one of the blocks Sue had left on the ironing board. When she walks on the ironing board, it shakes like the old Tacoma Narrows Bridge in a windstorm.
enlarge 225KB, 1024x768 9 Another shot. To get here she had to walk around the iron that Sue had left on the board. I took it down before taking this picture. Tux started all this by using what we call his "Zip Line", where he jumps up on the coffee table, then over to the sofa, up and over the Magazine rack, then down over the chest (red, blue, green throw) to get a drink from a cream pitcher that Sue uses to fill the iron. Mavis takes it a step further.

enlarge 249KB, 1024x768 11 Mavis inspects the new order. Note the quilt blocks at left. Sue's quilter friend, Odella, brought her these.
enlarge 216KB, 1024x768 12 Sue's current projects - working on three at a time. When I asked her about it, she said she has two more that she is planning in her head. Note that Odella's quilt blocks have been made into a top for a lap quilt.
The center project is for a quilt for Andrew and Kelsey - 144 blocks (12 x 12) each made up of 16 triangles sewn together.
The project on the right is a table runner for her sister-in-law Ninnah.
