Deb bee Ring I found it does have a very small mark inside of some figure mark(Maybe a bird) with arrows. I will try and see if I can get the mark picture but it's very small. The arrows go >figure mark<. "All I can do Deb is direct you to Cheri's article on Gold filled Jewelry for our Focus on Design series..maybe you can find an answer there..I did a quick check on 1/20 12K gold shell and did not find anything..Maybe Cheri will have some insight on this for you..pretty ring..Best Judi

If so it would be Uncas and the style would fit too. You can find more info on Illusion's site about them." --Lilly Vittetow, 07/19/10 "Mystery solved, I'd say!" --Linda Jo, 07/19/10 "No, it's not Uncas. It kind of looks like a bird head or something to me." --Lilly, 07/26/10 "I'm pretty sure because of the marking (1/20th 12 K gold shell) it would be later, therefore revival. Plating and gilding has been around a long time- but this type of mark is 20th c. Can you try and get a copy or draw a copy of the mark? That will definitely help date it." --Cat Thompson, 07/29/10 | |
