One odd bead bracelet

I seem to remember that there is a designer that includes
one odd colored bead in each of their pieces. The reason
I ask is that I have this turquoise beaded bracelet that has a single pearly bead.
"I think it's one of the European designers, Langani maybe, that puts in a single black bead. Dunno 'bout any white bead folks. And it is a custom in some cultures, some of the Native American peoples, to always make one deliberate flaw in a piece, so that the gods don't think you're trying to be perfect or equal to them. You can usually see that in Navajo rugs for example. Not that your turquoise-color bracelet is NA. I bet there are other cultures around the world that traditionally make deliberate mistakes in their art. So your beader may have that influence. Or maybe just mixed up their beads!" --Linda Jo, 09/08/10
"It is indeed Langani that uses the black bead--starting in 1958, according to Cathy Gordon. Here is her page of German jewelry, scroll down for Langani: http://imageevent.com/bluboi/german" --Lorna - Jewelry Addiction, 09/08/10
"Beadwork done in Middle Eastern (or in Moslem) countries often contains an odd bead, since "only Allah is perfect."" --Diana, 01/08/11
