This was the First AHT meeting in Prague on June 23, 2007 at the Hotel Zlatá Praha, organized by Romana Dyntrova and Sarka Stefankova
After everyone arrived and had a chance to greet each other and each others dogs we had a wonderful luncheon with food prepared by the Hotel staff ( who were most gracious throughout our stay there). In attendance were FCI Judges and the President of the Czech Kennel Club. After the luncheon we had a show which Rachael and I were honored to be the guest Judges for this event. It was formatted a bit differently than a UKC show as we saw all the males together, followed by females awarding Best Male and Best Female along with Best Coated and Best Hairless. Best of Show was then Awarded to a lovely coated carrier who had a lovely correct head type, topline and who moved with a balance of reach and drive.
There was a small puppy class as well and a nice hairless boy was awarded Best Puppy. A special award was given to a puppy who had been attacked by 2 large dogs and was recovering from her injury. She was awarded the Bravest Puppy Award. I wish you could have seen her 'bait' with one leg in a cast.... she was giving such good attention.. :) The breed seminar was given during the luncheon and many questions were answered.
It was a wonderful experience and an honor to have been part of it. Thank you !
