hese guns are Czech mfg, mostly from existing WW2 production Walther P38's, they were assembled post war in 1946, most if not all were purchased by the DDR
This is a target style 5.45x39 (AK74 cartridge) bolt action reportedly used as a sniper rifle by the East German Border Guards. They're well built & are equipped w/Zeiss scopes which are numbered to the gun. They were imported about 1997.
