I am so excited to say we will be there on Sunday, Aug.30th for the reenactment. My husband, Chris O'Gwynn is the great, great, great, great grandson on Red Eagle (William Weatherford). We look forward to seeing Fort Mims for the first time!

I will try to make it to this years (2009)
re-enactment. It is hard to imagine why such a terrible thing happened back then. Thanks for bringing it to light. Samuel Mims
paid a huge price for trying to help the people of his community.
May he and his hard working, farming family never be forgotten.

Sharon, thanks for the great job...AGAIN!!  It was so good to see you again, even in the pouring rain. I heard from many spectators that the Reenactment was "GREAT". Although our numbers were less than '07, from your photos, things were looking pretty good!
Hope to see you soon, or at least next year.  Claudia
Hopefully the Creek won't rise again. :)

Hiya all,
I just want to say thank you all so much for this great re-enactment. We came all the way from England to see this, and I have to say, that I felt so much spirits there. There were 2 moments, where I had the feeling, that I am pulled towards the grounds. You guys made this happen. Thank you so much of not forgetting our people there, who fought and gave their life. We will for sure came back again. Even the bad weather couldn't stop you, and this is really dedication. Again a big thank you all. Also for providing photos here. Hope you all stay healthy and happy. Until next time.
