 enlarge 110KB, 750x678 17 464697/469697 The 464697/469697 is probably the most difficult to find of the A/G Body bellhousings. This is for an 11 inch clutch/168 tooth flywheel. The 10.5" 462606 bells are much more common. If ANYONE knows for a fact-why some of these cars (and which models) were delivered with a 10.5" clutch and others came with an 11" clutch-I would appreciate an email . I've been told the 11" clutch was only delivered with the 350 engine which was available to the public only in an El Camino/Diablo.

 enlarge 57KB, 640x480 49 This is the firewall on my 1983 El Camino. The upper clutch rod will pass through the hole (1 1/2") that the Cruise Control harness once passed through. If your car does not have cruise, and this hole has not been punched-there will be a 'dimple' where the hole should be.

Notice the dimples - the dimple pointed to with the white arrow is where the hole for the upper clutch rod needs to be.
