Alvaro de Marichalar, the brave voyager from Spain and a direct decendent from St. Francis Xavier`s family. Alvaro set nine world records including the impossible task of sailing from Italy to New York on the tiny water scooter. Alvaros visits China and East Asia on the occasion of the 500th Anniversary of the Saint`s birth. As part of the Expedition Xavier 2006, He has visited Shangquan Island earlier and made a scooter trip from Macau to Hong Kong, he will set off again for Taiwan and Japan.
