I have learned such a great deal from your site. I did not know the first thing about taking care of a pig when my son brought one home a couple of years ago. The pet store employees were useless and I couldn't find any books at the local store. Your site has helped our family a great deal. Today our pig Sharkie is very happy and even has a new friend and cage mate. Keep up the good work.

LisaTue, 7 Jan 2003 3:18PM

I just saw your site after visiting the Baraboo (WI) Guinea Pig Rescue site. I have rescued one abby male locally, and have another TeddyBear pig arriving at the end of the week (I hope!) Wish I would've been aware of this Hollister disaster sooner - I'd have taken vacation time to come from IL to CA to help and/or transport! Your dedication and perseverance is amazing. Cudos to you all!

VeronicaFri, 13 Sep 2002 9:28PM

Thank you guys so much for all of your efforts.  I am sure the piggies are very gateful.  The 2 boys that come to me via the Vancouver train are GREAT!!  Thanks again.

LoisSun, 1 Sep 2002 4:47PM

I feel so sorry for the life these poor pigs had to lead.  I am glad there were people there to help, finally.  I just heard about their plight, and if I had heard sooner, I would have asked to have some dropped off in Illinois so I could give them a home.  Keep up the good work.

kmskeatingThu, 29 Aug 2002 7:35PM

Keep up the good work!

# 87 looks just like our sandy, but our sandy is liter and more on a cinn color.  you have a lot like our raskel.
It is unreal that anyone could hurt or abuse any of these small critters.  They are a true joy to have around.  Yes we have put in a app, to adopt. So many people dont even know to cut there toe nails, are to give them brok, carrots, calif, apples, and alifa, our pigs are very spoiled.  That is OK .  they depend on us once we get them.  Good luck in the coming months, all of the g pigs are great. The lion king is wonderful. It is a terribal shame to know that they have been so abused and neglected.God bless all of you for doing this.  God bless and thank you.

NancyTue, 27 Aug 2002 6:47PM

I am a first time guinea pig owner. I took in a female a couple months ago. To my surprise she was pregnant. Now looking for good homes as you all are too. It is a big responsibility. I appreciate all you are doing. I looked through your pictures hoping to find a texel for a friend, but didn't see any.  Again thank you for all that your are doing for God's creatures. May you be blessed abundantlly. Nancy in Hartville

I'm interested in any females... I live in Ohio so I'm not so sure an adoption of one of these guys would be doable because I don't get about much... anywhoo... I've already filled out your adoption page so just let me know if one is available.

Renee BernalMon, 12 Aug 2002 1:35AM

I am interested in this little girl, let me know if she is still available.

cindy bakerSun, 11 Aug 2002 4:36PM

Thank you for all you've done.

StephanieSun, 11 Aug 2002 1:01PM

My husband and I are both 4th grade teachers and have two guinea pigs that are wonderful pets teaching responsibility shared with my husband's and my classroom. When I am not at school, they vacation with my husband and I at home. I am shocked at what conditions I saw these poor Hollister animals in! We live in Connecticut and I want to compliment you on what you have done! God Bless you folks! I will see if any of my friends will do some adopting.

Kim CopThu, 8 Aug 2002 2:32PM

I am a Customer Care person as well as the Small Animal (critter) Lady at the Placer County SPCA in Roseville.  I am so impressed with what you have done.  I have 5 piggies of my own, so can't adopt, but will spread the story up here.  Cheers!

MariannThu, 8 Aug 2002 2:12PM

I'm a 3rd grade teacher in Milpitas, CA, and I'm contemplating the adoption of 2 guinea pigs...maybe 2 sisters or 2 brothers from the abyssinian litter born on 7/24/02.  I'll complete my on-line application.  Never raised a guinea pig before.  Can you direct me to where there is reliable & free information?  Can't wait to hear from you!

Hannah RiordanThu, 8 Aug 2002 9:31AM

You all are doing such wonderful work!!  Thank you!

Jenny DowdWed, 7 Aug 2002 12:14AM

So many sweetie-pies! I would like to select two females to be a part of our second grade classroom family in Watsonville.  Let me know how.

ElaineMon, 5 Aug 2002 1:30PM

I have spent so much time viewing the album today and starting jotting down the numbers of the piggies I'm interested in.  What it all comes down to is I'll take a pair of any of these cutie pies.  They all need loving homes.  I submitted my on-line application this morning and will wait patiently for your reply.

Thanks for the great job you are all doing!

kathleenMon, 5 Aug 2002 12:31AM

JulieSat, 3 Aug 2002 9:21AM

Does anyone in athority know if all cavies will be been adopted AND can anyone please let me know if all the legs of the transport have been filled.

I've sent in my app./cc of DL and offered to drive a significant portion when they reach MN.

I've not heard a word about the legs of the transport, but would need to make advance arrangements if I am to help out with this transport.

Please someone let me and all the others know what's going on!

Thanks :)

My female has a growth and won't live much longer.  I would like an Abyssinian female, pregnant since we thought our guinea was pregnant and we have a little girl waiting for one.  Also, a kindergarten/first grade classroom would like to replace their deceased guinea pig.  I live in Palo Alto, so how would I get one?  Maybe 121

What about city folk up here in Frisco who want to adopt?  We have one piggy already and are thinking she might want a (female) friend to gab away the day with.  We think she's still a baby too (we rescued her from a Chinatown meat market), so...?  Email, please....

Piggy LoverWed, 31 Jul 2002 2:02AM

to Karen Boyarsky:  You'd have to be nuts to put a piggy in a teeny tiny hamster habitat.  Pigs get BIG!  They need room to jump.

Karen BoyarskyTue, 30 Jul 2002 11:20PM

Can a habitat sized for a hamster accomodate a guinea pig? Thank you for caring; I do.

LaurieTue, 30 Jul 2002 10:49PM
