What a wonderful website! My six-year-old guinea pig, Gary, is a free-range pig. He has the run of the house, though he doesn't seem interested in the carpeted bedrooms. He stays in the tile-floored kitchen and great room. There is no cage in the house. His home is an open brown paper grocery bag placed on a puppy pad to absorb excess moisture. I put a big handful of timothy hay in the bag every day. Every other day I wad the puppy pad up, stuff it in the used bag and throw everything away. It beats the heck out of cleaning a cage.

I'm thinking of buying a piggy but I'm not sure how to get the materials to build the cages and I was also wondering if it's better to get 2 piggies rather than 1.
