187 Garfield - Vacant Space (12-2-11)187 Garfield - Vacant Space (btw. 7th Ave and 6th) Park Slope Brooklyn NY Contact: Rita Knox 718-965-2722 917-796-2225
Rita is one of the owners of this parking garage that has this vacant workspace above it. That is her 1961 volvo. You access it from the street. it is a straight shot through the garage door to the stairs door, but we have to move her car and some other shit for load in. We could also load in from the roof doors, but then we need to lift it one story from the street. The space has 9 to 10 foot ceilings, the photos are deceiving because I have been shooting 15 ft. ones all week. The space is just big enough I think. Any smaller and I'd say no. Rita says we can do whatever we want as far as Jess needs. Those glass doors go to a roof. All this is hidden from the street behind apartment buildings.

Art Students League (August 9th, 2012)************Basement does not clear. Front Door has cleared with some restrictions noted below********* 215 West 57th Street (btw 7th/8th Ave) New York, NY 10019 (212) 247-4510 theartstudentsleague.org Ken Park The school closes August 16th for cleaning. It may work or it may be a worse time. = BASEMENT
From Ken: The first week Aug. 20 to 24 is better for us. On Monday and Thursday there is trash pick-up. We’ll have A LOT of trash, so you’d probably need to wait until after 9:00 am. Other days should be no problem. Will need to renegotiate cost as we are now just doing the front door. I offered 5k for the front door and the basement. 1day of filming. Ken is pretty easy going. |

Goldenrod Brewery (11-30-11)Goldenrod Brewery 260 Meserole (off Bushwick) Bushwick Brooklyn NY Contact: Kenan Gunduz 917-428-0618
This would all be pretty great if it wasn't so filthy. They left the windows open so pigeons got in. They have more spaces than this, but I chose the least dirty on the 5th and 4th floors. There is a freight. Kenan tells me they have all the proper asbestos reports. But spaces like this have to be cleaned before a crew will enter. And have mold and lead tested too in air quality.
