Notes: - Has had filming before. - No filming during rush hour. Available hours for filming are 9:30am -4:30pm & 7:30p-9p - The permit fee is $100.00 per hour. - Access is limited to the public areas of the boats and terminals unless otherwise approved by the Chief Operating Officer of the Staten Island Ferry. No access will be granted to restricted areas. - Crew and cast are not to exceed twelve (12) persons. - No electrical power hook-ups are allowed. - Only portable (hand-held) equipment is permitted. Tripods are not permitted. - There shall be no interference with passenger flow throughout the ferry terminals or boats. - There shall be no blocking of turnstile areas, escalators, doors, or gateways to the ferry slips. - The ferry route will not be altered for filming purposes. - No posters, banners, or flyers shall be affixed to any surfaces in the terminals or on the ferryboats. No tables, structures, or easels will be allowed. - Applicants for a permit for filming must first have been issued a permit from the Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting. - Can not rent out the ferries exclusively. - Sometimes depending on the Captain of the boat they may allow filming during the layover (won't know this until the day of filming) - Captains of the boats all have the final say. - If we film there they would like a shot list or list of areas so they can help us get all of our work done - Permit takes 3-5 days to process. - Need to pay location fee to secure the shoot. Payment is atleast 3 days in advance.
