"Jewel of the Nile", is a reference to Cleopatra, who was an important figure in the last part of Caesar's life. It is reported that in the early part of 47 A.D. Caesar and Cleopatra were seen cruising on the Nile, to the southern boundries of Cleopatra's kingdom.
Cleopatra was highly intelligent, well educated and captivated Caesar. Caesar supported her to the throne of Egypt and had at least one child with her.
While helping Venie whelp this girl, the first thing I said was "Venie saved this little jewel for last!" so Jewel just HAD to be her name! :)
It's official! Mikko is Jewel's daddy!
